At Oakmoor we endeavour to be a part of our wider community by developing positive relationships with our parents and other community groups and partners.  This includes building closer links with our partner primary schools, agencies and services who support the school.

Alton Camera Club

Are you interested in improving your photographic skills?  Alton camera club has began its new season, the club meets in the Martin Read Hall, in the Forum Building at Alton College, at 7:30pm every Wednesday evening and will run through until the following April.

Bordon Food Bank

The Food bank is based in St Mark’s Church in Bordon and is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 10.00am - 12 noon.

Bordon Future Skills Centre

Basingstoke College of Technology has been commissioned by Hampshire County Council to deliver a comprehensive range of construction courses at its new Future Skills Centre in Bordon.  The centre which opened in September 2017 is a £3.8 million facility designed to meet the skills demands of employers in the construction industry.

The College will be offering general construction, brickwork and carpentry courses alongside apprenticeships and part time construction related programmes.  Courses will range from level 1 right up to HNC/HND for more advanced students.  Although the focus will be on training for the construction sector, the centre will also become a local hub for technical training and will host a broad adult and community learning programme for the wider community.

Community Solutions Whitehill and Bordon is a community information service for people living and working in and around Whitehill and Bordon.

Deadwater Valley Trust

Deadwater Valley Trust is a local charity which manages the local nature reserve and Bordon Inclosure.  Our woodland, heath land, river, habitats and ancient meadow are managed by a team of Rangers, based at The Phoenix Theatre, Bordon.  We also organise a wide range of events and activities which promote the environment, nature and wildlife.  We engage with the community in a number of ways, through forum's networking, education, volunteering and hosting events in order to build and strengthen relationships whilst encouraging everyone to care about and look after their green spaces.

Grayshott Cricket Club

Grayshott Cricket Club is an open to all cricket club with two grounds at Grayshott Sportsfield and Broxhead Common in Lindford. The club is a thriving one encouraging boys and girls to take up the game of cricket

In 2022 the club is running four Saturday adult teams, a Sunday XI, two Women’s Softball sides and fourteen junior teams from Under 8 through to Under 17.  In 2022 the club is also running Girls softball and hardball teams

The club is also an All Stars & Dynamos Cricket Centre providing boys and girls with their first introduction to the great game of cricket. All Stars ages 5-8 and Dynamos 8-11 are great fun with children either receiving their kit or a shirt.

Adult and junior matches are played at both grounds although most coaching sessions are currently held at Grayshott.  Well known locally as a child friendly club with a good reputation for developing young cricketers. The club has also been Club mark accreditated since 2005.

The Phoenix Theatre & Arts Centre

The Phoenix Theatre & Arts Centre is a vibrant venue delivering theatre, music, dance and comedy performance as well as a broad range of activities and workshops for people living in Hampshire, Surrey and beyond.  We have a cozy theatre space that seats up to 100 audience, a newly refurbished dance studio and a conference room.  Our bar is open an hour before every performance and is staffed by our very lovely volunteers.  For more information visit our website.

Soup Café

Monday's at Whitehill Village Hall the café is situated in Room 2 (enter via the side door) at Whitehill Village Hall and is open from 12noon until 2.00pm every Monday. Organised by St Matthew's Church. 

There is always a choice of at least two delicious home-made soups, served with fresh crusty bread or rolls and butter.  Hot drinks are also available.  There is no charge but donations are always welcome as the café is supported entirely by volunteers, who also make the soup.

Why not come along and try it?  It is an opportunity to make new friends and share a hot meal together, rather than having to prepare it yourself.

Wednesdays at Whitehill

Every Wednesday from 10.30am at Whitehill Village Hall.  Meet friends and enjoy activities.  Community Transport is available for a small charge of £1.00 each way, lunch is also available for £2 and is served at 12.30pm.  All welcome. Contact Val Bywater on 01420 362123 or email.

Whitehill and Bordon Community Association

This charity manages Forest Community Centre and Pinewood Village Hall and helps new community projects to develop in Whitehill and Bordon. 

Activities range from fitness classes to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings to a daily Pre-school and a Bridge Club.  Visit their website to find out more.
